The furniture are really old and poor
The hotel staff was excellent. Our first room was old and uncomfortable, they changed our rooms the next day and the rest of our week was great!!
We first had room 605 which was really old, paint was peeling from the walls, no dresser, the bed was uncomfortable.
It was a great resort...I Was amazed when I got in to my room with ocean front, the only thing is you couldn´t use the "privat beach" because of the smell disgusting....I Would have loved to use it...if I would have known that before I would have booked another room! Well...in totoal not that cheap, but a good hotel....
The bad smell at the privat beach...
The staff at the front desk were very nice and our room was upgraded do to a slight mix up with our reservation.
You could feel the springs in the mattress, I wish they were better.
Friendly staff - customer oriented and willing to help - flexible - good breakfast (not included in rates)
Cleanliness of the rooms (strands of hair in bed & bathroom)
the was no place to put our toileteries in the bathroom, only one little shelf. the shower was very small. The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful.
Nice hotel $10 taxi dollars away from the centre of key west (duval street).
The room was very clean and comfortable.
The hotel's beach was very dirty. It's impossible to go in the water and there was a used tampon on the "beach". The hotel staff didn't seem to care about the beach situation.
Had a hidden $10 resort fee. They said it is listed somewhere on their web site!!!
friendly staff, very clean room. It's a good place to go if you get a good deal.
you can't really swim on the hotel beach, need to go to any of the beaches on the southern side of key west (about 5 mins by car).
From the outside it looked very nice, staff was helpful and friendly, room (suite) was very big as was the bathroom, nice pool, sufficient parking possibilities.
The hotel has seen better days, at second glance everything seemed rather worn. There was no safe in the room to lock valuable items. We were 3 people so 1 of us slept on the couch which is not at all recommendable. Hotel is far from city center so you need a car to get there. From the pictures we had the impression that this hotel was situated directly at a nice sandy beach, and indeed there is water and you can jetski but there was no beach.
Arrived after dark in the rain. Told my room was "Out back" Give a map, small type, could not read in the dark, soon wet and worthless no lighting,. Found the "room" was a small shower stall like cabin. Mussed bed, weird pillows, strong smell of Pinesol. Went to the bar to ask if the kitchen was open "No" There was no help with ordering out, Went to bed wet and hungry. I was just ignored by the staff. Next morning I moved down the road to he Fairfield. I wont be back to this dump again!
Close to downtown area.
NOISY...trash pick-up at 4:00am woke us up. Birds outside room entrance squawked all day. NASTY.....shoreline around manmade beach area was awfull. Really disapointing. SMALL...we received an upgrade to our room(our room wasn't ready when we arrived), glad we did, can only imagine what our original room would have looked like.
The pool is quite nice but when you go to the Keys is not so important. The room at first glance was very nice and made a good impression. We could park in front of our door.
The staff was not so helpfull and all the services and attractions offered in the lobby were too expensive. We had to ask for hair-dryer which was not present in the room. The room was completely Ikea-made, which is not bad unless you pay 120 $ per night! During the night the truck came to collect the rubbish of the hotel and made a 15 min of noise. In the period we arrived the hotel's beach was terribly full of algeas (maybe different during the rest of the year). No coffe machine was present in the room.
Ibis had jet skis to rent right there on the property. The paint colors around the resort complex were perky and fun and seemed to be in the "Island" mode. Iguanas were walking around on the sand area and were great for kids to watch.
Although this was a waterfront property, there was no place to enter water to swim. There was also no internet connection in the rooms.
